Los Alamos National Lab

METCO Services was responsible for providing scanning services and modeling services for KSL Services at the Los Alamos National Laboratories in Los Alamos New Mexico.

Steam manhole pits covering a large portion of the facility were scanned utilizing the HDS4500.  What made the acquisition portion of the project unique was the restrictions imposed on entering into the structures.  By inverting the HDS4500 and lowering it into each of the structures, we were able to collect full coverage and still meet the no confined space requirements.
