Some of the more exciting projects we have worked on include Historic Documentation. When we were approached by CyArk with the opportunity to help document the Mayan Ruins at Chichén Itza, we immediately said yes.
Seven (7) of the most famous structures were selected for this project.
- El Caracol
- El Castillo
- Temple of Warriors
- Osario
- Grand Ball Court
- Venus Platform
- Nunnery
With the project area exceeding 50 Acres and some of the structures being separated by up to ¼ of a mile of thick jungle, Land Surveying was quickly realized as being the foundation to accurately document the site. With 2 teams of 2 men each working 12 hour shifts, we were able to complete the project in a timely fashion and to a very high level of accuracy.
Ultimately this data will be used to create a full dome motion picture for the Chabot Science and Research Center located in San Francisco California, allowing people of all ages to enjoy and learn about this fascinating site.
