METCO Services was selected by the Powertrain Division of the Chrysler Corporation to participate in a Pilot Project for incorporating Laser Scanning and Modeling into their existing workflows.

A 13,000 square foot production line was scanned with a combination of the HDS3000 and the HDS4500 laser scanners.

After completing the scanning portion of the program our Client requested that the entire scanned portion of the line be modeled and related to in-house layout plans for comparisons.

After seeing first-hand the level of detail attained, and the low impact realized on the production environment coupled with the scanning, the project was extended.
