METCO ENHANCES THEIR SURVEYING CAPABILITIES

METCO has recently acquired a new digital imaging system to provide faster and denser 3D data to all their Industrial and Public Clients.

The new system is a Leica HDS6000 Laser Scanner, which leverages the phase-based engine’s inherent scan speed (up to 500,000 pts/sec) and full field-of-view (360º x 310º) design. The HDS600 also features a higher degree of accuracy for each single point measurement, and twice the maximum scan density, providing more data for the client. Two advances - increased useful range and the addition of a (tilt) compensator - also increase the system’s versatility, enabling phase-based scanning to be applied on more types of as-built survey projects.

METCO is currently scheduling complex projects using this new technology for a multitude of clients such as line scans in automotive plants as well as many others.
